Megan- all right Inception. We talked about this when it came out right?
Kasey-  perhaps, but regardless it is so worth another go
Megan- agreed. it was my favorite that i've seen in a long time
Kasey-  from beginning to end it was gripping and I honestly did not think Christopher Nolan could have outdone himself (Dark Knight) but damn was I wrong
Megan- Right?! Batman, the Prestige, Memento, he does some incredible work! and this was way up there
Kasey- I mean the majority of movies are someone’s dreams or creations out of the dust but for this to even be a thought that is rolling around in someone’s mind is remarkable and the way that he put it on film was just amazing
Megan- Seriously. Who thinks up stuff like this and has the balls to the walls spirit to pull it off? Nolan. Yeah. I will most likely see everything he makes from now on.
Kasey- How about the meshing of some pretty B list actors in this movie? I mean wtf did 3rd rock from the sun kid come from? Last i saw him he was kissing Lithgow’s ass on the day to day
Megan- Ok hold up! Joseph Gordon-Levitt is anything but a B list actor! He has been making a great career for himself!

dude, the lookout...incredible movie! INCREDIBLE!!I had to use the big caps. he's an incredible actor!and he looks amazing in that suit

Megan- those are must sees-I promise the lookout was the first thing I'd seen him in since he hit puberty and it was the most incredible story, his performance was inspiring! yeah inspiring! killshot with Mickey Rourke and Diane Lane--he's not messing with small time names
Kasey- if mickey rourke is in it I am down.
Megan-  I'm having an issue with the space bar apparently...He was a total BAMF! JGL is, I think, one of the best actors working now for his age. I love him

Megan-  and everything attached to them and he was in GI Joe--you didn't see GI Joe?!
Kasey- I loved it as a kid and couldnt get myself to destory my favorite boyhood characters

What was your favorite part about inception?
Megan-  JGL had that scene where the room was spinning--that whole fight bit was insane!

that's specific--in general I LOVEd how they would show things that had happened like an hour ago still happening--the entire concept was completely mind-bottling
Kasey-  oh i completely agree. I think my favorite scene was the snow complex scene. It was just super exciting and suspenseful because u wanted to know why they were there and what they were going to find Can you blame JGL for trying to steal that kiss? I mean Ellen Page is pretty cute...plus he prob thought she was a hussy cuz of Juno
Megan-  Ok, I hate Ellen Page! I cannot stand her and there's really no reason at all I just am so completely repulsed by her and I don't know what it is. And I did not want to see her in this

But I wanted to see this so I went. Usually I put it off, like Juno I didn't see for years because of her But I actually thought she was quite good and no who can blame him
Kasey- haha i thought she was good
Megan-  it loosened up the craziness and it was all intense with all the people staring at them

and he's funny it was the perfect moment for something as ridiculously cliche as the kiss to be and I loved it. he thought she was a hussy! that's ridiculous :) Michael Cera is like the most non threatening least likely to impregnate anyone looking kid. how could she be a hussy doing it with a guy like that?
Kasey- ook...maybe she just puts out, and he knew thta going in
Megan- did you see Juno? That was so not the point! :)
Kasey- yea

Megan-  Let's talk about Tom Hardy--what do you think of him
Kasey- he is a complete badass
Megan- for sure! I just love the idea of a forger--it's too perfect!
Kasey- just the concepts in that film were ahead of our time
Megan- "Your condescension is always much appreciated, Arthur. Thank you."

They really are! The level of detail to pull off this kind of thing--1. making an audience believe it's real. I seriously wanted to run out and get a totem and 2. creating this world that completely makes sense where things like this actually go down on the regular...

Kasey-  completely brilliant. How much of a bitch was Leos wife in that movie?
Megan-  haha! A lot, until it got further in. She was just running around killing people for no apparent reason but by the end I actually felt really bad for her.

And since we never find out which of them was actually right...

there are multiple ways to think of her
Kasey-  i couldnt agree more. i felt bad it was almost like someone with a mental disorder and they just have no idea fact from fiction. i mean to be stuck in that world for what u think is 50+ years then to come back to reality and your 28 again... i couldnt wrap my head around that
Megan- No way and all the mind games from Leo! Cobb is a great character, and it take skill to not make us hate you after we find out some of the stuff you did! although that was my only real dislike of the movie is that I thought they foreshadowed that part too much
Kasey- i know right.
Megan- I knew when he was like "no not inception!" that he had done it to her but I might have been alone there
Kasey-  how can you f with your wifes mind like that
Megan-  he thought he was right and he might have been we'll never know!she also played it a little cray cray. we're shown this world where nothing's actually real and the things that are might not be so we believe that she's wrong from the start it's hard to shake
Kasey- what would you have changed? anything?
Megan-  Ok what would I change about a ground breaking movie? hmmm...

it's a movie about a heist taking place inside a shared hallucination

that sentence alone means that this could have been the worst movie ever and it would be still be miles ahead of some of the stuff that's out there...let me think...there should be something...

Megan- This movie is insanely rare, it's high action from start to finish, it's thrilling and compelling and makes you think and it changes the way you watch movies
Kasey-  it really is just perfect. high action, mind gripping, it has you rooting for people and hating them at the same time
Megan-  the dialogue, the scenery, the high techness of it all. i agree it's absolute movie perfection and I love the ending!
Kasey- Kasey- ok score

Megan- the entire thing was a dream--Mal was right

Megan- I don't think one time during that entire movie were we in the "real" world
Kasey- then how would it fall sometimes but not others
Megan- this entire world is something he's created. he's the best at this of anyone else who can do it. the people are all projections and the levels of other people's minds are creations he's making. he's lost and has no idea
Kasey- damn. I think this proves the point that this is a one of a kind movie
Megan- it really is!
Kasey- for there to be so many ways to interpret it, there isnt another out there
Megan- There's no need for my opinion to be right or wrong because either ending would be great it's completely original, I totally agree
Kasey-  great movie and i cant wait to see Nolans next midnight showing for sure
Megan- personally, I am ready for another Batman movie but yeah whatever he does I am in line!

Megan- OK buddy I'm fresh off seeing The Town let's do this. LOVE the new profile pic btw?! I think we both love Jeremy Renner, so that's awesome! Fantastic movie! Loved every minute! I, personally, am a huge Ben Affleck fan--he's made poor choices aka Gigli, but I think he's completely underrated AND one of the best director...s working example, Gone Baby Gone and now this. Jon Hamm is a freaking legend. He was so perfect! Rebecca Hall is dazzling and I laughed at Blake Lively because it's nice to see that if she wears too much mascara she'll look like a trashy hooker.So yeah. I LOVEd this movie! Those guys are serious bad ass gangsters and I am never going to Massachusetts. Ever :)

Kasey- um...first off it was a fictional film...Boston is badass, there is no reason to be scared (as long as there is daylight and your not in Roxbury or Jamaica Plain) . Everything was realistic and legit everything down to the Mass Turnpike (The Pike) auto toll censors in his Avalanche. Booking Fenway Park, awesome and must have been a huge challenge. Chase scene, super suspenseful. Jeremy Renner is a remarkably underrated actor. Not being a fan of Ben Affleck (because of his past horrible decisions) I was pleasantly surprised as to how remarkably intense and blatantly awesome this film was.

Kasey- side note...havent seen gone baby gone...I might have to get on that

Megan- Dude, that chase scene was incredible! I really loved the ending, that whole 25ish minutes of ending was insane--I thought he was going to get shot and I got all crazy nervous. I totally agree about Jeremy Renner; I've loved him since North... Country and I'm still trying to work up the courage to watch him in Dahmer because I know he'll make me crap myself. Gone Baby Gone--do it! Amy Ryan is absolutely incredible! Ed Harris, Morgan Freeman, Edi Gathegi...it's a must watch. Seriously.

P.S. The hardcore Boston accents did not do well here in El Paso--all over the theater everyone was leaning over, "what did he say?" It was ridiculous!

Kasey- was it wicked hahd to undahstand? Hey, it went bad, i need to tell you something. Blam

Megan- Hahaha! I did fine, the bilinguals were understanding maybe 63%. That was a great part! I loved the note on the car. And those nuns masks were effin scary. Especially since they just had the top half. It was like some weird jeans wearing nun hybrid. Ick.

Kasey- haha. what was going through that cops head on the detail when they jumped out of the jeep with AR-15s and masks? The note was priceless. Im glad she didnt give him up and gave him the sunny days speech. Should we have prefaced this conversation with SPOILER ALERT!...?

Megan- This guy in my row was outraged that he turned away. Like the tut tut's and the huffing, it was very emotional for him apparently. But that was hilarious. I really liked the relationship between them; it worked even though it could have bee...n extremely perverse. His was a good character, complex. I like that.And meh... it's been out for a week. 

-Kasey true on the one week. haha thats awesome he was all pissed off...was he pissed when affleck let renner get looped around a pole with bullets to the jaw too?

Megan- Haha, no. I think by the end of it he was in a coma. I think all the action and violence and Boston accents were too much for him. The whole theater freaked out when he shot the guard but no one even flinched when he shot off that guys cash and prizes.

Kasey- lol cash and prizes. btw that guy had a face only a mother could love

Megan- Hahaha! I didn't understand why he was the neighborhood bad ass--he's a florist...I mean, I get it, but I don't. He was going to town on those roses and he's obviously a terrible shot because Ben Affleck's like 2 feet in front of him and he couldn't hit him once? Sheesh.

Kasey- it was clearly the lamest front ever. i mean atleast follow the mob and make meatballs and ziti or something

Megan- Hahaha! I think he's the first nonthreatening Irish mobster in Boston/movie history. Plus, he was like a miniature mobster; he was a teeny tiny mob man who does flower arrangements. It's almost cute.

Kasey- I bet he specializes in Teddy Bear Bombs

Megan- Or giving people sugar rush from all the free candy.

Kasey- he seems like the kinda guy that would hand out some rose petals and 9mm bullets on Halloween. I would have liked the guy from Edge of Darkness/the Departed (Ray Winstone) in that role

Megan- He's good, but the other guy actually looks like he could have been in the environment forever--Winstone looks too young oddly enough...p.s. was Edge of Darkness good? I was going to see it but then I just listened to Mel go crazy on his ex for a few months instead.

Kasey- haha. It was pretty good. I liked it. (Boston Film) I mean it was no Mystic River but it was decent.
